Coronavirus update
Updated 17th March 2020, 10am:
- Schools should remain open.
Self- Isolation requirements:
- People who live alone with Coronavirus symptoms - dry cough, high temperature should self-isolate for 7 days.
- People who live with others should self-isolate for 14 days if any one person in the house is displaying Coronavirus symptoms - eg dry cough, high temperature - even if the person's symptoms recede within that period.
- People with cold/flu symptoms eg runny nose but NO coronavirus symptoms of dry cough or fever, should self-isolate for 7 days.
Vulnerable people:
- Vulnerable people should self-isolate for 12 weeks, avoiding non-essential contact. This includes but is not limted to: over 70s, pregnant women, people with cardio issues, respiratory issues, liver issues, mental health issues, immunity issues. Further information can be found at www.gov.uk about specific medical conditions.
Other measures:
- Social distancing - avoid large gatherings, social areas and sociable environments.
